Apples and cider for sale starting September 5th, 2009. Sales and cider room also open to all!
Our Ciderworks family hosted the first annual "Beer Drinkers United for Real Potables" BURP day at the orchard on September 13, 2009. About 60 club members and their families spent the day at the farm picking cider apples, touring the orchards, enjoying a potluck lunch, and then helping out with the pressing of a special home brewer's blend. Great fun was had by all on this may well become an annual event. Pictures will be posted here soon.
South Mountain Creamery will host its Fall "Farm Days" on October 17th and 18th. Visitors can tour the milking operation, feed the calves, and try some of the great food available from SMC. Distillery Lane will be there with our apples and an operational antique cider press for the kids to try out. For more details, visit www.southmountaincreamery.com.
Distillery lane will also be hosting a girl scout troup, a 4H club and others this Fall who want to see what it's like to pick ap[ples, then press them into cider. If your group would like a tour, call Rob at 301 834-8920.

Began permitting process for hard cider, including a champagne-style sparkling cider
